Cub Run PTA News: Innisbrook Fundraiser

September 24, 2009

It’s not too late to submit an order!
Currently we are approximately $2500 behind the sales goal of $15,000.  As many of you know, Innisbrook is our major fundraiser for the fall and insures that the PTA has operating funds for such events as our Family Movie Night, grade level programming funds for teachers, the Reflections program as well as WatchDOGS support.  These funds will also help us insure we can continue with plans for our upcoming Healthy Kids Fair and help us prepare for MayFest at the end of the year.

Please consider even a small purchase or donation to help us reach our goal.
Orders will be accepted until this Friday, September 25, 2009.  If you choose to send in a donation, please be sure to send it in an envelope marked “Innisbrook fundraiser”.

Thank you for all that you do to support Cub Run and it’s students, teachers, and staff!

Cub Run PTA News: Week of September 14

September 24, 2009

Cub Run PTA introduces M2M (Member 2 Member Network)
Cub Run’s PTA is excited to provide you with a new valuable web-based suite of tools that you can use to keep in better touch with events, activities and timely announcements related to your child’s school experience and to help you thrive in our hectic school and surrounding community.  These tools also make it easier and less time-consuming for us to operate and fund our PTA and allow you to opt-in and out of valuable PTA information (e-newsletters and exclusive member benefits).

You will receive an email from ‘Just Between Friends’ and all you will need to do is follow the easy directions listed in that email to get started!  We will be inputting all of the information we have received from your 3 in 1 PTA form!  We ask that you validate and verify the information we have loaded into the system.  The system (called “OMDRplus powered by Just Between Friends”) will create a private, secure account for your household and link that account to our PTA group.

You will need your username:  mother’s email address as provided and the password distributed in this week’s email.  Please change the password after you have validated and reviewed your information.

There is no cost to you, our PTA or school to use this great new service.  Thanks to the National PTA for underwriting the system and making it available to us.

To learn more about OMDRplus powered by Just Between Friends, visit http://www.pta.org/online_membership_data_reporting.asp.

Please keep an eye out for the email from Just Between Friends to validate and review your account.  We will be entering the information into the system this week.  If you haven’t filled out your 3 in 1 form, please do so and send it back into school with your child.  We want to have as many of you as we can on the system!  (It will also become our main email server as well.)  If you have any further questions, please feel free to respond to this email.

Spirit Wear Orders are Complete!
Spirit Wear orders have returned and your child should be bringing your items home this week!  If you placed an order, but do not receive your items, please contact Nicole Bennington-Horton.  If you missed this deadline and would like to purchase items, the PTA will be offering these items and more in early November.

Parent-Advisory and PTA Meeting:  Tomorrow, Sept. 15th
All members of the Cub Run community are invited to attend!  Mr. Boyers will conduct the Parent Advisory Meeting at 6:00 pm and then the PTA meeting will start at 7:00 pm.  A light dinner will be served starting at 5:45 pm.

WatchDOGS Pizza Night:  Thursday, Sept. 17th
Come spend a great evening with your child, have pizza for dinner, and learn more about the WatchDOGS program!   Pizza will be served starting at 6:30 pm and the presentation will begin at 7:00 pm.  If you have not sent in your RSVP form, please do so ASAP!

Innisbrook Deadline:  September 21st
Please remember that all Innisbrook orders should be entered on the Innisbrook website and monies returned to school by Monday, September 21st.  If you have any questions, please feel contact Karen Molloy.
